Meet the experienced and friendly doctors and staff who make Valley Vision Eye Care a proud provider of vision care products and services in Terre Haute.
Dr. Darla Heck Sacopulos
Dr. Heck Sacopulos earned her undergraduate degree from Indiana State University. She received her doctorate degree from Indiana University School of Optometry. She completed a postgraduate externship at the Vision Institute of Toronto.
Dr. Heck Sacopulos joined a surgical practice in Terre Haute and was part-time adjunct faculty at Indiana University School of Optometry prior to opening her private practice in Brazil Indiana. She sold her practice to Dr. Nilah Nicole Bonham in 2007.
After selling her practice, she enjoyed spending more time with her two sons and family. She continued her part-time adjunct faculty position and coordinated the opening of the Eye Clinic at St Ann’s Clinic in Terre Haute, IN for indigent eye care.
In 2014, she opened a private practice in Terre Haute. She has been active with many local organizations and charities.
Dr. Heck Sacopulos loves spending time with family, especially her two sons, Nicholas and Alexander. She enjoys her dogs Griffin, Buckley, and Nash, and as much free time as possible playing tennis and riding her horse Samara.
Dr. Miccah Hoffman
Dr. Hoffman has been practicing optometry since graduating from the Indiana University School of Optometry in 2003 where she also earned her
undergraduate degree. She has been serving patients in the Terre Haute area for much of that time.
She completed externships at Atwater and Community Eye Care Centers, Wright Patterson Air Force Base, and the Muncie Eye Center.
As an optometrist, she has experience in family eye
care, treatment, and management of ocular disease, contact lens fitting, and eye surgery co-management. She truly enjoys practicing optometry and the interesting people that she meets and treats along the way.
In her time away from the office she enjoys spending time with family and friends, reading, hiking, and scavenging forfinds at flea markets and antique stores.
Gayle Wiley-Camonte
Gayle has a degree in Gerontology and has been a Heath Facility Administrator since 1998.
Gayle has been with Valley Vision Eye Care since March 2021. As an optical technician, Gayle assists our patients through the preliminary process of eye exams which include explaining and administering tests to determine the patient’s overall eye health. Gayle strives to provide the best customer service possible to our patients.
Outside of the office, Gayle enjoys spending time with her husband, and family and walking.
Holly Harden
Holly graduated from Ivy Tech Community College with a degree in Medical Assisting. She has been working as an optician since 2013 and started with Valley Vision Eye Care in 2016. Frame selection and insurance
billing are her areas of expertise. She enjoys helping patients select the perfect frame and lenses while maximizing their insurance benefits. Outside of work, Holly enjoys spending time with her husband and two young sons.
Pam Pattenaude
Pam became certified with The American Board of Opticianry (ABO) in 1996. She enjoys working in our small office where we get to know our patients and can provide a “family” atmosphere. Pam has been married for 35 years. She and her husband have four children and six grandchildren. They enjoy traveling whenever possible but are just as happy sitting on their deck together and listening to the sounds of nature
Alli Mitten
Alli Mitten received her degree in medical billing in 2013. Bringing her previous experience as an optician with her, she joined Valley Vision Eye Care in November 2023. She specializes in medical billing and loves helping patients find the perfect pair of glasses.
Outside of the office, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two daughters, riding horses, and taking her daughters to their junior rodeos
Gina Whiteshell
Meet Gina Whitesell, one of the newest members of the Valley Vision Eye Care team. Gina is currently in the process of becoming a certified optical technician and is dedicated to providing top-notch care for our patients. Her warm and friendly demeanor helps put our patients at ease as she prepares them for their appointments with the doctor. During exams, Gina also assists the doctor, ensuring that our patients receive the best possible care.
Outside of work, Gina resides in Clay County with her husband and two of her three sons. She loves spending time with her grandsons and is excited to meet all of our patients. Get to know Gina and experience her exceptional care at Valley Vision.
